What do I look like as a teacher in my classroom?
- A leader: leading my students as a group and individuals to success.
- A mentor: development driven and looking beyond their current student performance.
- A resource: providing students with what they need to succeed.
- A professional: showing the appropriate qualities of a teacher.
- A coach: to improve my students in-class performance
- A friend: getting to know my students and letting them get to know me.
What do my students look like in my classroom?
If I can perform my best duties as a teacher, my student should look:
- Confident.
- Healthy.
- Capable.
- Hopeful.
- Knowledgeable.
I want my students to be able to be the their best selves when they are in my classroom and I want them to be able to do the best that they possibly can in that moment.
What's going on in the classroom above is that I am giving the instructions for an activity that is meant to be done in pairs and my students are actively listening to the instructions.
