What Does my Classroom Look Like? Unit 7 Assignment 2 TESL-0100-E01

What do I look like as a teacher in my classroom?

  • A leader: leading my students as a group and individuals to success.
  • A mentor: development driven and looking beyond their current student performance.
  • A resource: providing students with what they need to succeed.
  • A professional: showing the appropriate qualities of a teacher.
  • A coach: to improve my students in-class performance
  • A friend: getting to know my students and letting them get to know me.
What do my students look like in my classroom?

If I can perform my best duties as a teacher, my student should look:
  • Confident.
  • Healthy.
  • Capable.
  • Hopeful.
  • Knowledgeable.
I want my students to be able to be the their best selves when they are in my classroom and I want them to be able to do the best that they possibly can in that moment.

What's going on in the classroom above is that I am giving the instructions for an activity that is meant to be done in pairs and my students are actively listening to the instructions.
