Step 1: Teach your class about the present perfect tense, or you can re-introduce the topic if they have already been taught the present perfect tense.
Step 2: Give examples of the present perfect tense.
Step 3: Ask the class if they have any questions about the present perfect tense. If so, answer them.
Step 4: Explain the activity and handout the crossword, ask if they have any other questions and make sure they know they are free to ask for any help during the activity.
Step 5: Go over the answers with the class and have them correct their own papers with a different coloured pen, ask them to fill in any blanks they might have missed.
Step 6: Ask if they have questions.
Step 7: Collect the papers, you will need to see what each student learned and what you might need to go over again with individual students.
